Privacy

This website is deliberately lean: no cookies, no tracking, no analytics, no embedded third-party content. This page explains the little that remains, in plain language.

1. Controller

Pohle Advisory GmbH, Alte Zwillikerstrasse 9, 8908 Hedingen, Switzerland
Email: thomas@thomas-pohle.com

This policy follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies to visitors from the European Economic Area, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted with TEISENDA Hosting, a service of TEISENDA GmbH, Alte Zwillikerstrasse 9, 8908 Hedingen, Switzerland. TEISENDA runs its infrastructure on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH in the Falkenstein data centre (Saxony, Germany); content delivery and DNS are provided by bunny.net (BunnyWay d.o.o., Slovenia), whose edge network includes locations worldwide.

When you open a page, the server records technical data in a log file: your IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, browser type and operating system. This is needed to deliver the website securely and to detect faults and attacks. According to the hosting provider, log files are deleted automatically after seven days. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure and stable website (Art. 31 FADP, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. No cookies, no tracking

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Fonts, scripts and images are loaded from our own server, not from third parties. The only exception is the contact form: it is loaded from our hosting provider TEISENDA (see sections 2 and 4). Your browser may store small technical preferences locally on your device; they never leave your device and we cannot read them.

4. Contact form and email

If you send the contact form, we process your name, your email address, the topic you choose, your message and the address of the page you sent it from. We use this data only to answer your request and to handle any business relationship that follows. The form is provided by our hosting provider TEISENDA, which stores the submission on its servers in Germany on our behalf (see section 2) and notifies us by email. Submissions are deleted from the form service automatically after twelve months. You can also write to us directly by email instead; then we process your email address, name and the content of your message for the same purpose. We keep correspondence as long as needed for that purpose and as long as statutory retention duties require (in Switzerland generally ten years for business records). Legal basis: your consent, which you give with the checkbox and can withdraw at any time by email (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), steps before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in handling enquiries (Art. 31 FADP, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

5. External links

The website links to LinkedIn and to TEISENDA. When you follow a link, the privacy policy of that provider applies. We do not embed any content from these providers, so no data is transferred to them while you are on this website.

6. Data transfers abroad

Our hosting provider processes data in Switzerland and in the European Union. Switzerland and the EU recognise each other's level of data protection, so no additional safeguards are needed for these transfers. We do not transfer your data to other countries.

7. Your rights

You can ask us at any time which personal data we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct, delete or restrict it, to hand it over in a common electronic format, or to stop a particular processing. Write to thomas@thomas-pohle.com. You can also complain to a data protection authority: in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), in the EEA the authority of your country of residence.

8. Changes

We update this policy when the website or the law changes. The current version is always published here.
